Why buyers choose this grade

Refined olive oil is made by refining virgin oils that do not meet extra-virgin sensory or acidity limits. Refining removes colour, aroma and free fatty acids, leaving a light, neutral oil with a higher smoke point. It is the practical, cost-effective choice when you want an olive-oil base without a pronounced flavour - and it is what is usually blended with a little virgin oil to produce retail "olive oil" (formerly "pure olive oil").

When to choose Refined

Choose refined olive oil for cooking, sautéing, bakery and prepared foods where you want the olive-oil label and functional performance without a strong flavour - or a refined/virgin blend for a mild, rounded profile. For the most economical high-heat option, compare olive-pomace oil.
